About the role:

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer you will work closely with the product and operations, and distribution teams, as well as the Company’s investment management partners. As a diverse business you will be exposed to senior business leaders and a broad range of matters, building your experience. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the compliance landscape of a dynamic and expanding organisation, making a tangible impact on its success and growth.

As a Risk & Compliance Analyst your primary role is to support the implementation and ongoing development of the Risk and Compliance Framework, necessary to ensure the business complies with relevant laws and regulations, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices and internal policies and procedures.

The Risk & Compliance Analyst is responsible for administration of various elements of the risk and compliance framework, production of risk and compliance reporting. The role compiles, assesses and prepares risk and compliance information to the Risk and Compliance Committee and the Board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective compliance, risk, and regulatory framework;
• Assisting with monthly and annual compliance reports;
• Undertaking and maintaining appropriate compliance monitoring programs;
• Supporting the business on the end-to-end lifecycle of alternative products on all risk and compliance matters;
• Assisting in managing corporate risk and compliance as directed or supervised;
• Assisting in monitoring business impact of regulatory change and implementing action plans;
• Helping to maintain compliance registers: breaches, incidents, conflicts of interest, personal trading, restricted companies;
• Assisting with AML/KYC matters, reviews, and audits;
• Supporting in drafting responses to clients’ compliance questionnaires and other requests;
• Assisting with monitoring key service providers;
• Assisting with other compliance project work and reporting as required;
• Liaising with external trustee providers as necessary across registered and unregistered product;
• Assisting with the preparation and review of product disclosure documentation, etc. AND
• Assisting in preparation of risk and compliance reporting materials for relevant boards, committees, and management forums.

Technical Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business, or a related field;
• At least 1-2 years of relevant risk and compliance experience or in a professional services role (e.g., accounting, auditing, consulting) with a strong interest in risk and compliance;
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow in the field of risk and compliance;
• Strong client service ethic, interpersonal communication and written skills and proven ability to work with others;
• A proactive self-starter with initiative, capable of working without supervision and assume responsibility for completion of multiple tasks with attention to detail;
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines;
• Problem solving skills, with the ability to quickly respond to issues and unprompted will look for process improvements and additional responsibility;
• Natural curiosity to find innovative ways to enhance current processes and procedures;
• Looks to incorporate technology into your role and business delivery; AND
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word knowledge required, ideally experience with a governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) system.
