This leading insurer is looking for a senior risk analyst to join one of their largest business channels as a line 1 risk business partner.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Risk & Compliance Senior Manager in managing the business’s Risk Management Framework.

Promote a strong risk and compliance culture across the business team.

Collaborate with the Risk Office (Line 2) and other Line 1 Risk teams.

Provide risk and compliance advice to business stakeholders.

Coach and mentor members of the Line 1 Risk team.

Ensure timely and accurate risk and compliance reporting.

Conduct and review control assurance testing.

Stay updated on regulatory changes, including CPS230 and FAR obligations.

Support incident and breach management and reporting.

Help develop and implement remediation strategies and preventative controls.

Support the preparation of reporting packs for the business Risk Committee.

Conduct risk reviews for business change, business continuity, AML, fraud risk, and other key areas.

Document and maintain standard operating procedures for Line 1 Risk processes.

Act as an escalation point for risk and compliance issues.

Build strong internal relationships to support a collaborative risk management approach.

Key Requirements

Proven experience in risk and compliance within financial services.

Strong understanding of risk frameworks, controls, and incident management.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including CPS230 and FAR.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to coach and mentor team members effectively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

High attention to detail and quality in reporting and documentation.

Strong understanding of operational risk, compliance obligations, and control frameworks.

Experience in preparing risk and compliance reporting for senior leadership.
