We are working with a well-reputed financial services organisation within the lending space looking for an experienced professional to lead their risk and compliance function.

They are based in Western Sydney suburbs, therefore will suit a candidate living in the area and wanting to drive to and from work.

The key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the design, implementation and continuous improvement of risk and compliance plans, frameworks and programs
• Monitoring licensing requirements (ACL, AFSL), reporting obligations and regulatory submissions
• Reviewing documentation, marketing materials, contracts and regulatory responses
• Compliance monitoring, complaints monitoring, investigating breaches, providing recommendations and lodging reportable breaches
• Conducting risk assessments, identifying control deficiencies and recommending enhancements to mitigate risks
• Preparing and presenting risk and compliance reports to Board and Committees
• Designing and providing risk and compliance training and advisory to the business
• Supporting and developing the risk and compliance team’s capability

The ideal candidate will have:

• Circa 7-8+ years compliance and/or risk management experience within Financial Services
• Background in Consumer Lending, Credit Lending or Asset Financing is ideal
• Prior exposure to risk and compliance frameworks and licensing requirements
• Ability to work in a lean environment and willing to be hands-on
• Great stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
