About the role
As the Event Sales Co-ordinator for Dedes Group, you will work with our sales team to focus on guest relations and customer service for events and private dining enquiries across Dedes Waterfront Group portfolio of venues.
The role involves qualifying, managing and coordinating private dining enquiries for corporate and social events, across the Dedes Waterfront Group portfolio of venues. As part of the sales team, you will be responsible for actively promoting our venues, building client relationships and coordinating client requirements to ensure successful events.
What you'll be doing
• First point of contact for incoming emails, telephone calls and direct leads for Dedes Waterfront Group, managing client requirement and facilitating the enquiry.
• Host site inspections and venue tours for potential customers.
• Create client specific proposals for events clearly outline venue costs and catering services.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service.
• Handle all client follow up for booking enquiries, negotiating as required to confirm the event.
• Working with clients to finalise event details, menu selection, creating run sheets, managing external suppliers and contractors to ensure successful event execution.
• Oversee the set up and bump in of the full event and be onsite for the hosts arrival.
• Assist the event sales team with on the day event requirements
• Ensure that all administrative duties are completed accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with group policies and procedures.
• Perform any additional general office administrative duties as required.
• When required assist with function room set ups as directed by the venue manager.
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar event coordination or sales role within the hospitality or tourism industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Proficient in using event management software
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
