About the role

We are seeking a passionate and organised Events Co-Ordinator/Publicity Officer to join our team at Darlington Point Sports Club. This is a part-time position based in Darlington Point, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and promoting a range of exciting events and activities to engage our local community.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinate and deliver a diverse event calendar, including sporting competitions, social functions, fundraisers and community initiatives
• Develop and implement effective marketing and promotional strategies to drive event attendance and participation
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including club members, sponsors and vendors, to ensure smooth event delivery
• Manage event budgets and report on event performance
• Promote the club's activities and achievements through various communication channels, including social media, website and local media
• Provide administrative support and contribute to the overall operations of the club

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within a sports or community organisation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• Creative flair and a keen eye for detail to create engaging and memorable events
• Knowledge of marketing and promotional techniques, including social media management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and event management software
