We are working with a QLD Govt Dept based on Brisbane’s northside to source an experienced Business Analyst to join their team for an initial period of three months. The project will focus on modernisation of their environment to improve transactional service delivery more broadly. Ideally you will have a background in Process Improvement, Process Re-engineering, and Process Modelling with a history of building effective solutions.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Build and manage robust relationships with business stakeholders, effectively gathering requirements to drive solution development through clear and efficient communication.

Analyse complex problems, establish priorities, and provide solutions to meet business needs.

Assess feasibility and urgency of enhancements, designing specific tasks for their implementation to achieve strategic outcomes.

Maintain meticulously high-standard documentation of business requirements

Work collaboratively with application developers and other technical teams

Lead engagements, including meetings and presentations, to communicate ideas and findings

Analyse current business processes to identify areas of improvement

Monitor deliverables, ensuring timely completion by liaising with stakeholders to reach acceptance

Define and manage the scope, requirements definition, and prioritisation for initiatives

Agile environment proficiency

To be considered suitable for the role you will have the ability to:

Navigate complexity and ambiguity in documenting and managing business requirements across a range of business situations.

Engage constructively with both technical and business stakeholder

Ability to facilitate stakeholder input and prioritise requirements effectively

Establish and maintain requirements baselines, securing formal agreement and ensuring traceability throughout project lifecycles.

Conduct thorough root cause analyses and articulate recommendations for improvements.

Participate actively in agile team dynamics and contribute to change engagement activities

Experience in User Acceptance Testing (desirable)

Proficient in Process Improvement, Process Re-engineering, and Process Modelling with a history of building effective solutions

Capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
