Senior Business Analyst x 3 | 12-Month Contract | QLD Government
We’re partnering with a large Queensland Government agency on a significant digital modernisation program and are looking for three experienced Senior Business Analysts to join the team.

These are Brisbane-based roles on an initial 12-month contract, with long-term program scope extending over the coming years.

The Role As a Senior BA, you’ll be the critical link between business users, developers, and a tier-one delivery partner. You’ll work across the full project lifecycle — from stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering, through to process modelling, user story development, testing support, and implementation.

You'll join an agile-style delivery squad and play a key role in ensuring requirements are clearly captured and translated into real, measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders across the business and technical teams
• Facilitate workshops and define clear business requirements
• Develop process models using BPMN
• Create user stories, define acceptance criteria, and support testing activities
• Provide insights during change, training, and go-live support
• Trace requirements to final deliverables and ensure alignment throughout
• Support the Project Manager with risk/issue management and progress reporting

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in complex environments
• Strong background in large-scale system replacement or modernisation projects
• Experience working with software vendors and across end-to-end delivery
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, ideally using Azure DevOps
• Ability to build trusted relationships with both business SMEs and technical teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Proven process modelling skills using BPMN
• Experience working in government or similarly structured environments highly regarded
