A rare vacancy is now open the 1st time in six years for a ‘hands on’, passionate Casual Front Desk Reception /( Relief Night Audit to fill in for leave requests) at our prestigious & unique NSW Masonic Club (Est 1893) and Castlereagh Boutique Hotel (built in 1927).

You will have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude to all you do, be results-driven, creative and with excellent communication skills. Your attention to detail and client service approach needs to be exceptional. This is a very hands-on role for the right applicant.

This is a casual role within the NSW Masonic Club & Castlereagh Boutique Hotel reporting directly to the Front Office Manager.

About The Role

Maintain an efficient, friendly professional approach to all duties performed in the role of Receptionist.

Cover Night Audit (11.00pm to 7am) or Day shifts according to the roster requirements.

Attend to guest enquiries either by phone or in person.

Check in and check out guests in a professional manner, with a smile.

Ensure cash, credit cards and other forms of payment are handled honestly and accurately.

Process reservations either by phone, fax, or email.

Handle Club Member enquiries.

Ensure other Front Desk related duties are handled quickly & efficiently.

Be available for up to 38 hours over a 7-day roster including weekends as required.

Always maintain our 10 Member & Guest Service Standards

What we need from you

Minimum 12 months experience or similar position (desirable) in a hotel or 12 months experience in a front office environment.

Valid NSW RSA

Current Valid First Aid Certification

Confident verbal communication skills in English and an excellent attention to detail

Strong Communication skills

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow and workload

Ability to work unsupervised at night and as part of a team during the day
