Dogdayz is the pre-eminent provider of dog boarding services in Victoria, operating across four sites in Melbourne. The quality and commitment of our staff is our greatest strength.

We are growing - and now looking for an animal attendant (with office/reception skills) to take a senior and responsible role at our Silvan site, a pleasant semi-rural environment. This is a hands-on position: you will be working closely with dogs in all aspects of their care - but you will also be required to assist Management at a busy front reception and generally. Initially on a casual basis, 30-38 hours per week, but with definite prospect of advancement to a permanent role. Remuneration $32 - $35 per hour plus superannuation and penalty rates.

Physical fitness and confidence with dogs are important aspects of the job.

Primary Role & Purpose:

Enjoyable and varied work: animal care, busy front end reception, transport of dogs and other duties.

Must be available across a seven-day roster, including School Holidays (consistently) and Public Holidays where needed.

The primary role involves:

Routine dog-care tasks: feeding, exercising, monitoring the health of the dogs and safe transport where relevant.

Promptly attending to issues of dog behaviour (but not limited to) dog distress, barking or matters of dog safety.

Customer service as required, including phone enquiries, taking bookings, checking in and out, etc.

Cleaning, light maintenance and other duties as required on or off site.
