Are you an experienced and driven sales professional looking to join a small dynamic team in the growing off-grid industry?

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious sales rep to join our team, for this on-site role conveniently located in Welshpool WA. (Opportunities also exist for students and we encourage those studying engineering, mechatronics and electrical subjects to apply.)

This role will suit someone customer oriented, who loves challenges and problem solving, with retail and technical experience and a keen interest in DC Power and Off-Grid.

Alt-Tech specialises in off grid power solutions (for your 4WD, RV, tiny home or even a complete home!), with a focus on self-sustainability & use of renewable resources.

This involves asking the right questions to get a thorough understanding of the customer's power needs and provide solutions which will meet their energy requirements.

Predominantly customer sales (ie dealing with customers and enquiries in person or via email/phone/social media), the role also entails physically picking and packing customer orders as needed. It requires you to be physically fit to perform tasks in both a retail and warehouse environment, and have the physical ability to undertake heavy lifting and handle larger stock items.

This role provides exciting opportunities in a growing field, you will be working with off grid and remote energy supplies (From a solar setup on a ute or caravan to running a complete off grid community)

You will require:

Proven success in a sales role, or previous experience in account management.

Background in electronics, power solutions, batteries, solar design or similar industries

Technical knowledge in regards to applications of batteries and DC power. At a minimum you must have a basic understanding of power. (eg: You should already be able to wire up your 4WD with solar to go camping)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly identify what the customer needs and build rapport and trust.

Experience in quoting and pricing, with well developed closing skills.

To be highly motivated and resilient with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Understand and work to KPI's

The ability to work within a small tight knit team and hit the ground running.

To be social media savvy & always conduct yourself with integrity and professionalism.

Well developed lateral thinking and problem solving skills

The ability and attention to detail to accurately record your sales activities and customer interactions in our system.

Flexibility with work schedule. As we are open 6 days you'll have rotating rosters & be required to work some Saturdays and you must have the flexibility be able to move around your days to cover other team-members.

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and being active on your feet all day.

To be able to deliver outstanding customer service and technical support throughout every stage of the sales cycle, from initial contact through to post-sale support.

This is a diverse role, you could be stocking a shelf, then 10 mins later sorting out a lithium battery build solution for a boat, and then later that day designing a temporary power solution for a festival.
