About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administration and Stock Control Assistant to join their team in Welshpool. This position provides essential support across administrative functions and stock management, helping ensure accurate record-keeping, timely procurement, and effective communication throughout the business.
You’ll play a vital role in maintaining day-to-day efficiency by managing stock levels, assisting with operational processes, and supporting health and safety compliance. This role is ideal for someone looking to build foundational experience in administration and operations, including recent graduates.
Key Responsibilities:
General admin support: answering phones, emails, record-keeping, and team coordination
Stock control: routine stocktakes, ordering, organising storage, and receiving deliveries
Safety support: monthly equipment checks (e.g., Breathing Apparatus), maintain first aid and safety logs
Finance/admin: process invoice approvals, reconcile purchase orders, resolve discrepancies
Onboarding/offboarding: issue uniforms, update team tools, maintain sign-in board
Support urgent procurement and local errands (mileage reimbursed)
Take meeting minutes and manage hazard/incident registers.
About You:
Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Physically able to assist with stock handling
Current driver’s licence and reliable transport required
First Aid Certificate
Team player, flexible, and proactive—comfortable asking questions and working independently
Must pass a full medical and D&A
Suitable for someone early in their career or a recent graduate.
