The opportunity:

Join an agriculturally focused retail group that’s undergoing significant growth and transformation. With multiple branches across Queensland and plans to double in size over the next three years, the business is building a high performing leadership team & this newly created Finance Manager role is central to that vision.

With a high performing Management team in place & a longstanding business, this is the first true Accountant role in the business, so provides opportunities to grow the function significantly.

Key duties include:

• Leading month end reporting, budgeting and forecasting across multiple sites.
• Preparing accurate and timely P&Ls by location and product stream
• Drive financial analysis & commercial acumen, improving visibility of margins
• Managing the AP & AR team and upskilling the existing incumbents
• Delivering compliance activities including GST, BAS, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support

About You:

• A CA/CPA qualified accountant with experience in a Finance Manager level role
• Practical experience managing project costings and analysing margins
• Confidence working with operational teams who may have limited financial experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing, inventory, construction or project based business is ideal
