New Role Reporting to the Managing Director/CFO, you will oversee the full range of finance operations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting.
The Finance Manager will lead key functions, including management of bookkeeping, statutory and internal financial reporting, asset accounting and compliance with external auditing.
The Finance Manager will work in developing the team's capabilities through mentoring and coaching, and managing productivity.
Key responsibilities will include:
Full ownership of financial management across the business, including accounts payable & receivable, weekly payroll, BAS/GST, compliance, and taxation
Cash flow forecasting and liquidity management - ensuring financial stability, funding, and forward planning
Preparation of budgets, management reports, and financial insights to support strategic decision making
Overseeing the day-to-day operational running of the accounts team & daily transaction reconcilation.
Overseas USD accounts payable knowledge and currency knowledge
EH Payroll, including Payroll Tax
Management of inventory Costing (COG). Planning of StockTake
Prepare accurate and timely EOY financial statements, reports, and analyses as requested
Monitor cash flow, ensuring the company has adequate liquidity for ongoing operations and develop strategies for optimising cash operations
Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
Looking into strengthening the accounts team and process improvement
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as Financial Manager (Min 10 years’ experience in accounting roles)
Background experience in industries with inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll and accounting principles, tax laws and regulations
Team management skills
Strong Attention to detail and focus on achieving tasks
Adaptability to working independently, collaboratively and proactively.
Ability to meet deadlines with confidence to communicate with the CFO
Ability to problem solve, find solutions
Proficient in MYOB, MS Office, and Strong Microsoft Excel command is a must.
Background in industries with inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Audit experience or exposure to a large, complex business
