We are seeking an experienced Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join our diverse and passionate nursing team in our Aged Care facility - Lulworth House. This position is on a full-time basis Monday to Friday.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate leisure and lifestyle activities tailored to meeting individual interests, as well as social, spiritual, physical and emotional needs of residents
  • Recording and evaluating residents’ responses and engagement in group-based activities and individual interactions
  • Participate in team meetings and planning sessions for upcoming events and activities, contributing new innovative ideas
  • Create and evaluate individualised activity plans and assessments as needed, adhering to the Aged Care Standards and Guidelines
  • Cover for other Lifestyle Staff on leave and work on weekends, public holidays and during the week as required
  • Demonstrate St Luke’s Care Values of Excellence, Transparency, Integrity, Respect and Trust both inside and outside of work

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience as a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant or Diversional Therapist within an Aged Care desired
  • Able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Committed to ongoing educational and professional development
  • The ability to be flexible, creative and enthusiastic whilst maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in an aged care facility or hospital
  • Previous experience with dementia care
