About the role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a passionate and experienced Horticulture teacher to join our team on a casual basis. In this casual role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational education and training to our students at our Fairfield VIC 3078 campus. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the next generation of horticulture professionals.

What you'll be doing

Delivering engaging and effective horticulture theory and practical classes to our students

Assessing student performance and providing feedback to support their learning and development

Contributing to the continuous improvement of our horticulture curriculum and teaching materials

Collaborating with other faculty members to share best practices and ensure a consistent learning experience

Providing pastoral care and support to students as needed

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Horticulture or a related field

Minimum 2 years' experience teaching in a vocational education setting

Strong knowledge of horticulture principles, practices, and industry trends

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students

Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for lifelong learning

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
