About the role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Teacher to join our team on a casual basis. As a Casual Electrical Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional vocational education and training to our students in the Trades & Services industry, with a focus on Electricians.
This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to shape the next generation of skilled electrical professionals. The role is based at our Heidelberg campus in Victoria.
What you'll be doing
Delivering practical and theoretical training in electrical principles, wiring, and installation to students
Assessing and providing feedback on student performance and progress
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and safety standards
Collaborating with the teaching team to continuously improve the quality of the electrical program
Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
What we're looking for
Relevant trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent
Extensive experience as a qualified and licensed electrician, with a strong understanding of the Trades & Services industry
Demonstrated teaching or training experience, preferably in a vocational education setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry best practices
