McArthur is seeking a Permits Officer, who will provide administrative support to the Permits Operation team. This role will involve handling phone calls with external stakeholders, and triage of enquiries and incoming correspondence.
This is a great temporary opportunity until June 30th 2025, and is in a fantastic location walking distance from the Dock. The position offers full time hours, is immediately available, and has a casual rate of $44.02 per hour + Superannuation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the plumbing and building inbox and allocate documentation to the relevant officers
- Record incoming correspondence, including registering occupancy permits, extensions of time and certificates of final inspections
- Draft statutory documents including certificates of completion
- Prepare reports on occupancy permits and certificates of completion.
- General administration duties including answering phone calls and directing enquires to relevant officers, and drafting and sending correspondence
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated ability in delivering high-quality administrative support to a range of stakeholders.
- Well-developed problem-solving abilities, and ability to use sound judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience working in a Local Government setting.
