Warehouse Manager – Fixed Term Contract

$125,000 - $135,000 p.a

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for safety, compliance, and operational excellence? We’re looking for a Warehouse Manager to oversee our biosecurity facility that ensures effective post-harvest treatment or fruit and vegetable produce in Pooraka on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a newly created leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO. Great opportunity to make it all your own.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Biosecurity Operations

• Oversee the operation of our fumigation facility in line with SOPs, WHS, and ICA04 protocols.
• Maintain biosecurity site standards, documentation, and JLB compliance systems.
• Collaborate with TRICAL and contractors to ensure seamless post-harvest services.
• Develop SOPs and manage risk and compliance with the Operations / Compliance Manager.
• Ensure Chain of Responsibility (NHVR) and AS/NZS 4801 compliance.

People Leadership & Frontline Management

• Lead, engage and develop a high-performing team.
• Manage rosters, timesheets, training, and performance.
• Identify skills gaps and provide ongoing development opportunities.
• Drive a strong workplace culture that reflects a safe and professional environment

Unloading Services Management

• Oversee all aspects of unloading operations, including stakeholder engagement, service delivery, and pallet management.
• Ensure compliance with CHEP agreement and manage forklift and equipment servicing.
• Lead the implementation of SOPs, incident reporting, and performance improvements.
• Deliver annual price reviews and meet unloading budget targets.

Business Development

• Identify growth opportunities across post-harvest treatment, unloading, logistics, and pallet storage.
• Drive year-on-year profitability and develop strong customer relationships.

Reporting & Strategy

• Deliver monthly WHS and logistics reports to the CEO.
• Attend and contribute to management and compliance meetings.
• Escalate biosecurity issues as required.

To Be Successful, you'll need:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse management or logistics, including team supervision
• Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to mentor and develop teams
• Hands-on, systematic approach with high attention to detail
• A track record improving operational performance and achieving warehouse KPI's
• Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and warehouse reporting experience.
• A current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Experience in the horticultural or FMCG industries would be well regarded
