Reception
Coordinating the delivery of quality medical reception services for all client
Effective telephone and counter enquiries e.g. prompt and professional answering of telephone and transfer of calls to appropriate staff
Coordinate Clinic appointments system
Liaise with Visiting Allied Health Professionals and with bookings/ room allotment/Best Practice appointment schedule for the day
Manage the secure and accurate data matching and recording of all clients electronic records
Ability to take direction, determine priorities and planning and manage workloads in order to meet agreed timelines and objectives
Ensure scanned client information is accurately data matched to the individual client record on a daily basis
Maintain reception area and ensure the waiting room resources are current and up to date
Promote an environment where clients feel comfortable, informed and supported
Medicare
Complete all Medicare with billings/batching and receipting on a daily/weekly basis
Create invoices for payment for Private Accounts and provide to finance when completed
Provide CWAATSICH GP with a day sheet at the end of the day for signing and amending if necessary
File completed batched Medicare in appropriate folder for audit purposes
Batch Medicare & DVA daily
Reconcile Medicare Reports
Office Support
Provide administrative and logistical support to the Clinic Team
Ensure that the Incoming and Outgoing Mail is collected and entered in register on a daily basis
Stocktaking, monitoring and re-ordering of stationary for all offices
Maintain the Allied Health and Specialist referral system on a weekly basis
Comply with Clinical policy and procedures in delivery of primary health care services to clients
Actively encourage client/family/community to engage with CWAATSICH to promote their health and well being
Identification of CQI’s to improve patient access and outcomes and implementation and assessment.
Comprehensive understanding of the patient journey for a client accessing CWAATSICH Clinics including the chronic diseases and lifestyle risk factors that impact on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
Excellent communication skills, work autonomously in a small office and as part of CWAATSICH’s comprehensive primary health care team.
Maintain program and partnership links with other allied health services to ensure a whole of community approach to service provision and client care plans.
Actively encourage clients/family/community to engage in regular health screenings/education and awareness programs that address relevant health issues in the community.
