About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the development of new business opportunities that align with the organisation’s strategic growth. You’ll drive engagement across key sectors including Defence, Law Enforcement, Emergency Services, Security, NGOs, and IGOs.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, your responsibilities will include:

  • Presenting the organisation’s capabilities to potential clients
  • Identifying and developing high-value business relationships
  • Supporting the preparation of proposals and bid submissions
  • Generating, negotiating, and converting revenue opportunities
  • Working closely with marketing and account management teams
  • Researching new business avenues and market intelligence

About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in business development
  • Proven background in government or defence sectors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical capabilities
  • High proficiency in relevant business software
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
