Durodent Dental Supplies is seeking an experienced Key Account Customer Relationship and Sales Representative to join our team in Bayswater, Victoria in 2025.
Opportunity to work closely with many of our great established loyal customers, find new opportunites, supporting and building value for them based on our service offering and product portfolio, rather than just price.
For this full-time role, you will be responsible for getting to understand our customers, their purchasing patterns, how they like to be serviced, their needs and proactively check in with them establishing a rapport providing valued service and sales support.
This is not a hard-hitting, cold calling, commission style sales roles. It is also not a corporate style, wine and dine type sales position therefore it will not suit some applicants.
We are customer-centric, with uncomplicated sales goals, simple processes, and a strong focus on building lasting relationships with our customers.
For us, it is all about building a long term respected trustworthy relationship with our customers. Following through on promises. It is understanding the customer and how they like to operate. Building, maintaining and fostering friendly and helpful relationships with our customers to support them how and when they need it. While also making our customers aware of our complete product portfolio and highlighting product categories or alternatives they might not be aware of that can benefit their business and us also.
Customer visits locally or phone calls to interstate customers, are arranged on a monthly or bimonthly cycle. They are short and concise, generally not prearranged or a fixed meeting time. Focusing on the customers current needs, any issues or questions, order taking, sharing new parts of our product portfolio to broaden their purchasing range etc. Locally while on the road, you will be visiting 6-10 customers per day.
You will need to be self-motivated and organised to learn and understand our business style, our customers, our product portfolio, the product benefits and techniques, plan your days, keep great records and progress reports. You will need to be willing to investigate and find further knowledge and resources to learn and support customers as required.

What you will be doing
Develop and nurture relationships with dental professionals, understanding their needs and recommending suitable products.
Manage a portfolio of existing customers while identifying new opportunities
Pursuing new business opportunities and leads.
Learning about our business, style and culture
Learning our product portfolio and benefits
Collaborate closely with management and customer service / operations team to proactively find opportunities and ensure seamless customer experiences
Communicating with customers across Australia through various channels (Phone, email , text) in a friendly, professional and timely manner
Visiting customers at their Denture Clinics and Dental Laboratories in Melbourne regularly and around country Victoria as required.
Some interstate travel may be required at times.
Represent Durodent Dental Supplies at industry events and conferences 1 or 2 times per year.
Develop your own calling / visiting / admin schedules.
Balancing your time between local customer visits around Melbourne, regional visits around Victoria, contacting Interstate key accounts via phone and email, time in the office analysing accounts, learning our business style and team.
Regularly analysis customers sales and purchase trends.
Discover what customers are looking for or need in their businesses to help them. New products, alternative products.
Support customers with product information and technical details
Working with manufacturers and suppliers to source product information or guidance
Understand competitors and what they offer
Work towards achievable sales goals
Stay updated with industry trends and product knowledge to provide exceptional service.
What we are looking for:
A professional experienced in sales, preferably in the dental industry or healthcare industry
Self-motivated with a passion for building strong customer relationships.
Confident, outgoing, and a great communicator.
A friendly, warm and professional communication style.
Great at reading people and situations.
Organised and able to self manage their time effectively.
Based in Melbourne East
Able to travel for customer visits and events.
Wants to spend time in office to be around the team. Not just looking for remote role.
Has a reliable safe modern car

Position Specifics:
Location: Bayswater VIC 3153 (Eastern Suburbs Melbourne)
Position Type: Full Time
Workplace: On site in office + On Road Travelling + Possibility to work from home at times.
Travelling Required: Yes
Days Required: Monday to Friday - 5 Days Per Week (No Weekends or Public Holidays)
Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm – Early finish Fridays at 4.00pm
Customer Service and Sales Experience: Essential
Dental Laboratory Industry Experience: Highly Beneficial – Desirable
Salary Position: Competitive Base Salary + Superannuation + Car Allowance Approx $20K P.A. - Details will be discussed based on Experience and Skills.
