About the Role
This is a newly created position focused on driving business growth through both new client acquisition and strengthening relationships with our existing client base.
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and securing new clients whose operations align with our approach, while also improving the quality and volume of sales from existing clients.
A key part of the role is supporting our clients — from onboarding and training on our proprietary software, to providing ongoing assistance and up-to-date supplier information to help them succeed.
This is a hands-on, client-facing, and highly collaborative position — requiring regular communication with clients and close coordination with internal teams to ensure our product offering continues to meet market demand.
You’ll also assist the business directors in creating and implementing growth strategies, and work as an integral part of a team committed to delivering a high-quality end product and outstanding client service.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Identify potential clients where business processes and objectives align.
Secure greater sales by onboarding new, synergistic clients and improving quality of sales from existing clients.
Provide initial demonstrations and training for new clients on our proprietary online ordering system.
Deliver ongoing client support, including the distribution of relevant supplier marketing materials (Polytec, Laminex, Blum, etc.).
Communicate client feedback, needs, and opportunities to the production team to help shape product offerings.
Maintain regular, proactive communication with clients to strengthen relationships and uncover new growth opportunities.
Accurately record client interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in CRM systems.
Represent Cabinets Online professionally at client meetings, events, and networking functions.
Assist business directors with creating and implementing business development and sales strategies.
Work collaboratively with the broader team to deliver a high-quality end product and client experience.
Experience & Requirements
Previous experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management.
Personable, trade-focused sales style with the ability to build trust quickly.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to thorough follow-up.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional presentation and confident interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and a willingness to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Ability to learn and operate various software systems effectively (training provided).
Highly Regarded:
Cabinetmaking or other trade-based industry knowledge (not required but highly beneficial).
