Are you an experienced practice manager, motivated individual looking to contribute to a seamless, patient-centred healthcare experience? We are a warm, close-knit concierge-style medical practice led by three female doctors and supported by a dedicated nurse, and we’re looking for the right person to help manage and grow our operations.

Location: Bruce, Canberra

Weekly Hours: 24–30 hours per week

About You:

Proven experience as a Senior Receptionist or Practice Manager or in a similar healthcare leadership role.

Proficient in the use of medical practice management software (BEST PRACTICE) and other relevant IT systems.

Proficiency in bookkeeping (XERO) and accounting software (a plus but not essential).

Knowledge of Medicare billing, practice accreditation, and healthcare compliance.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.

A commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to implement innovative solutions.

Task and responsibilities:

Overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the practice.

Work closely with the Managing Partners to support business growth.

Managing financial records, billing and reconciliation.

Billing doctor’s fortnightly for the management service fees.

Perform accurate bookkeeping.

Staff recruitment, onboarding, rostering and training.

Lead and conduct regular performance reviews and manage performance-related issues professionally and sensitively.

Manage patient flow, appointment optimisation, and clinic scheduling.

Ensure compliance with Medicare, RACGP standards, and relevant legislation.

Oversee accreditation processes, policies and documentation.

Manage stock control and consumables.

Handle patient feedback and complaints with empathy and professionalism.

Cultivate a positive team culture and lead by example.
