Minesite Recycling is on the hunt for a hands-on, experienced Yard Manager to lead our dynamic operations team. Your Role:

As our Yard Manager, you’ll take the reins of our day-to-day yard operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly—from site safety and staff supervision to equipment maintenance and material processing. You’ll play a critical role in maximizing productivity while maintaining our high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all yard operations, including the sorting, processing, and storage of scrap metal

Lead, train, and supervise yard staff to ensure productivity and safety

Manage inventory and coordinate with transport/logistics teams

Operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment

Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health & safety regulations

Report regularly to senior management on operational performance and material throughput

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar role within the metal recycling sector

Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team

Solid understanding of scrap metal grades and processing techniques

Competency in operating heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, shears, loaders)

Excellent organizational and communication skills
