The Role
The Loop Foundation Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for defining, refining and leading all operational aspects of Loop Foundation. This includes leadership of a small, but growing team, overseeing financial performance, including budgets & cashflow, reporting & risk management functions.
Ensuring all production and quality targets are met, in a sustainable, timely way is of the utmost importance for this role.
The OM reports directly to the Loop Foundation Board, via the Chair, & will work closely with the CEO of Loop Global, especially during the first year, as the OM role is embedded into the Loop Foundation.
This is a new role for Loop Foundation, & it is a broad role, with a lot of freedom & autonomy for the right candidate to ‘make the role their own’.
This role will be ‘hands on’ for at least the first year, however Loop’s growth projections are positive & rapid over the next three years, making this an exciting opportunity for the right person to be part of the growth & success of a WA owned & operated social enterprise which is creating meaningful social impact, by empowering communities, & transforming products & services.
The position works in line with the vision & values of Loop, keeping the participants & Loop’s focus on creating meaningful social impact, at the centre of all decisions & actions.

As this role is a key role the Loop Foundation, it requires a person who enjoys all aspects of operational management, within a social enterprise; from the developing, designing & planning to building & leading the team, finances, & processes.
The right person for this role will be professional, resourceful & enjoy the challenge & rewards which come from building something new. Being both future focused & hand-on, they will be an operationally focused ‘all-rounder’ & then build a team around them once increased productions are established & successful.
This role will build a successful & thriving social enterprise, with the support of the Board, & team members, from the ground up, so the person must be able to oversee all aspects of operations, including planning, then implement those plans with agility, confidence, enthusiasm, & compassion.
Must have:

· Be an experienced Operations Manager, within a minimum of 5yrs experience, ideally in start-ups or growing organisations, focused on production.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Management / Leadership 80%
The OM is responsible for leading & managing the team members, & the operations of Loop Foundation, including:
· Manage & lead employees, & contractors.
· Working with the Board, & Loop Global CEO, to the develop organisational operational plans, policies, & practices, & maintain positive culture within entire Loop Foundation.
· Ensure all products & services are delivered in a high quality, timely & sustainable way.
· Responsible for ensuring all production targets are met, and exceeded where possible, including within budget and agreed timelines.
· Provides onsite, hands-on support to the production team, including being ‘on the tools’ as required.
· Develops & embeds policies & processes, including but not limited to WHS requirements, to ensure safe, sustainable, & quality operations.
Financial Analysis & Reporting 20%
· Provide regular financial reports including operational budgets, & cashflow forecasts.
· Oversee budgets & finances to ensure Loop Foundation’s operations & products are financially sustainable & competitive.
· Deliver meaningful, & clear analysis, measurement & reporting of sponsorship, brand awareness, fundraising & media activity results.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential Criteria
· Minimum 5years experience working in an operations management role, preferably including within a WA based social enterprise, start up or charity.
· Demonstrated resourcefulness & ability to develop, & work within limited budgets.
· Ability to build revenue as a doer & a leader focused on developing positive outcomes & meaningful social impact.
· Minimum 5 years' experience overseeing teams and productions.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience communicating to people of all backgrounds, and experiences.
· Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
· Excellent interpersonal & leadership skills & ability to build a team, build marketing capability & mentor employees.
· Demonstrated flexible, energetic, & self-motivated approach to planning & implementing work schedule to meet goals & timelines.
· Ability to prioritise & problem solve to achieve desired outcomes.
· Digital & Computer literacy (i.e. Social media, Microsoft Office365, SharePoint, & CRM use).
· Ability to work autonomously actively contributing towards the organisation's strategic objectives & margins.
· Current (or ability to gain):
· Working with Children Check & National Police Clearance (within 6mths)
(Requirements to adhere to Loop Foundation policies & procedures.)
Desirable
· Previous experience leading a start-up through initial growth phase.
· Previous experience in a management level role within the textile, fashion or manufacturing industry
