Sea Harvest Australia's prawn fishing takes place in Shark Bay and the Exmouth Gulf, Western Australia. The Company operates a total of 11 prawn trawlers, 2 demersal fish trawlers and 2 Spanish Mackerel vessels.

The Company is now seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Administration Managers to support the Shark Bay prawn fishing operations based in regional Carnarvon, Western Australia.

The Opportunity

We need to be upfront. As the new Administration Manager, you will have some massive shoes to fill. Shoes that have been the veritable backbone of this operation for a whopping 37 years. With a very thorough handover however, we are confident that the successful candidate will make this role their own and be the glue that continues to keep our operations running smoothly. From logistics coordination and crew admin to compliance reporting and managing cold store processes, this is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate vessel catch unloads, casual labour, fuel management, and logistics

· Supervise up to 15 casual staff during peak operations

· Ensure compliance with WA Fisheries requirements

· Ensure accurate documentation including payroll data, PO/SO processing, and share fishing agreements

· Liaise with internal teams and external bodies such as DPIRD and transport companies

· Monitor stock levels, handle training bookings, maintain compliance documents and crew records

· Manage cold storage logistics, quality assurance, catch documentation

· Update and maintain fishing operations manual

What You’ll Bring

· 5+ years of administrative support experience

· Exposure to commercial fishing operations and handling perishable goods (Ideally)

· Solid knowledge of fisheries management and compliance (Ideally)

· Strong MS Office skills; Netsuite and SharePoint experience a plus

· WA Driver’s License (MDL)

· A proactive, organised and culturally aware team player

What is on Offer:

The base salary range will be $90,000 - $95,000, (negotiable) commensurate with qualifications and experience. Superannuation will be paid additional to the base salary and a mobile phone will be provided.
