Belong at Home is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and solutions-focused person to join our team.

Belong at Home is a highly respected not-for-profit local organisation, providing a range of services to older people and their carers throughout the South West of WA, with offices in Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Collie, Donnybrook and Bridgetown. This role is based at Belong at Home's office in Bunbury.

As a key member of the Bunbury team, you will have excellent communication skills, an empathetic attitude and understanding of older people and be solution focused.

About the Position

As the Training & Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring our people have the skills and competencies to perform their roles to a high standard. You will be motivated to challenge our current processes by engaging people with development opportunities.

A strong background in operations and service delivery is essential for this role. While it reports to the People & Culture Manager it has a broad operational focus. The Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering learning and development initiatives across the business with a focus on key learning outcomes to meet our compliance within the aged care industry. This role plays a key part in shaping and implementing company-wide training strategies. It will collaborate closely with HR to provide leadership in managing internal learning programs, supporting the Operations team with best-practice solutions, and contributing to projects aligned with evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

Design and facilitate mandatory training as well as technical and soft skills programs, using best-practice methodologies and standardised content.

Create and deliver engaging, impactful training with a focus on clinical development as well as key training development for support workers and case managers.

Conduct regular training needs analysis to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of learning across the organisation.

Create policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and can be implemented and effectively managed by various stakeholders.

Collaborate with HR training and compliance to monitor and maintain employee compliance expectations and ensure standards are achieved through regular review and update.

Partner with Human Resources and Operations to design career development pathways that enhance professional development and retain talent.

Ensure all training documentation complies with audit requirements and that accurate training records are maintained.

Contribute to broader cultural and organisational change initiatives where required.

Skills & Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Compliance and training specific experience desired with qualifications.

Comfortable presenting to individuals and groups

Healthcare industry knowledge preferred with a focus on Aged Care

Advanced written and verbal communication skills

The ability to build strong internal relationships and work well with other stakeholders

A desire to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and potential solutions

Proficient computer literacy in word, excel, power point, and managing other platforms

HR related qualifications or previous experience preferred
