Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil construction projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct civil construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring strict compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Develop and sustain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Organize and schedule daily activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, to facilitate effective communication and cooperation.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective measures as needed to meet project objectives.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Liaise with council representatives to address client requirements and secure necessary approvals.
- Manage quality assurance processes to guarantee that all work meets Council specifications.
- Develop and manage Safe Working documentation (SWMS, ITP, Site plans, etc)
- Coordinate the supply of labor and materials effectively.
- Prepare and deliver project reports, encompassing progress updates and financial forecasts.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on timelines and costs.
- Mentor and supervise project teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant academic qualification is required, such as a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or higher.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Civil Engineering.
- A comprehensive understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale civil projects and leading project teams.
- Experience with local government council projects, including civil infrastructure and streetscaping.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
- A valid driver's license and Whitecard.
