Client Details
This NSW Government institution is embarking on a significant organisational change initiative, focused on reshaping structure, systems and operations to align with its long-term strategy. With a workforce of approximately 500 and access to internal IR resources, the organisation is seeking a senior HR Change Project Manager to guide a complex, high-impact transformation. The role sits at the centre of decision-making, reporting directly to the Head of HR Projects and working closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, COO and CPO.
Description
Lead the delivery of an end-to-end organisational change program, including restructures and workforce transitions
Collaborate with senior leadership to build and implement a structured change management plan
Conduct impact assessments and manage critical project milestones
Partner with line managers to provide guidance and support throughout consultation phases
Engage with unions and IR stakeholders, leveraging in-house industrial relations expertise
Translate strategic design decisions into operational outcomes, ensuring compliance with NSW Government policy
Monitor project progress, risk and outcomes, providing regular reporting to executive stakeholders
Profile
We're looking for a senior HR practitioner who combines strong business partnering skills with deep expertise in organisational change.
You will bring:
Demonstrated success delivering change management projects in the NSW public sector (essential)
Deep understanding of public sector frameworks, restructures, and industrial relations
Experience managing sensitive, confidential projects involving redundancies or role redesign
Strong stakeholder management skills, with credibility at executive level
Hands-on delivery style, with comfort navigating ambiguity and tight timeframes
- Experience in workforce design, planning and organisational re structures
Job Offer
Daily Rate: Up to $1,125/day PAYG
Contract Length: 6 months, starting ASAP
Location: McKell Building, Sydney CBD (3-4 days per week on-site)
Influence at Executive Level: Work closely with the CEO, COO, Chief of Staff and People & Culture lead
