Position Title: Accountant

Position Summary:

The accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting practices and company policies. This role supports the finance team by handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and providing accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions using Xero accounting software.

Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.

Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payments.

Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding invoices.

Assist with payroll processing and related records (if applicable).

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Maintain and organise financial records for compliance and reporting.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:

Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field.

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to manage workflow effectively and meet deadlines.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data.
