Position Overview

This Accountant position is responsible for managing financial transactions and records with accuracy and in compliance with accounting standards. The role supports financial reporting and focuses on day-to-day operations of accounting and administration functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage marketing invoices booking and track budget to ensure accurate expense management

Manage fixed assets including processing acquisitions, disposal, depreciation and maintaining fixed assets register

Perform deferred revenue and rebate reconciliation including necessary adjustments

Weekly Consumer retailer sell-out reporting by consolidating sales reports from various retailers to track sales performance

Reconcile and settle intercompany balances via Global Netting process and facilities

Track Marketplace sales activities with instalment payment (ANZ+SEAI coverage)

Reconcile Marketplace sales receivables with US intercompany against third party payment (ANZ+SEAI coverage)

Provision of Marketplace aging analysis and reporting (ANZ+SEAI coverage)

Online sales listing fee analysis and reporting

Marketplace sponsorship reconciliation and manage intercompany recharge process

Assist in preparation of annual Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns

Prepare monthly Business Activity Statement (BAS)

Liaise with Singapore Accounting agent to prepare quarterly Singapore GST returns

Process other accounts payable invoices and journals entries including coding and system entry

Assist with month end accrual and related closing processes

Monthly trial balance analysis and reporting

Support internal JSOX and external statutory audits as needed

Provide backup support for other accounting functions during staff absences

Offer administrative support to Corporate Services team

Undertake ad hoc duties and support change initiatives as directed by Financial Accountant

Qualifications, Experience & Characteristics

Ideally Accounting or Actuary degree qualified, you will be looking to expand your skills further

Minimum 4 years of experience in a full-function accounting role in Australia

Committed, eager and strong ability to learn

Strong attention to details with excellent time management

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

Demonstrated ability to work multi-task under pressure in a busy customer focused environment (flexibility)

Ability to meet deadlines and use your initiative to perform delegated tasks

Microsoft Business Central Experience preferred, but not essential

Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, email and internet
