By adding another very important resource to the business, which is the role of Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager.
The Role:
Due to the success of the business and through developing an outstanding portfolio of key accounts in Australia. We have an opportunity for a sales engineer or business development manager with a technical sales background to join our team. Our Australian office is located on the south-side of Brisbane, this highly advantageous role, will be one of managing a variety of accounts at multiple levels of contact. As well as being directly involved with providing technical solutions at a concept, design and operational level.
Additional to providing technical support, the role includes developing new business and relationships. Our company is also very interested in candidates who enjoy responsibility and those who would be willing to accept a leadership role within the company when required. There is a reasonable amount of regular interstate travel involved with this role to support a variety of customers across a number of different industry sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Working with engineers, site supervisors & procurement managers and developing these partnerships by key account management and strategic planning.
- Working with established partners from the bulk materials handling, grain and mining industry sectors.
- Assisting OEM & end-user customers with technical advice on products / systems and troubleshooting any issues on bucket elevator & conveyor systems.
- Provide quotations and cost estimations across a range of sales inquiries.
- Provide assistance with some administration tasks as required, but still within a sales role.
- Represent the company at various trade and industry events and exhibitions.
- Be able to accept & be responsible for the business, and the management of others, periodically as required.
The Candidate:
- This role is a perfect opportunity for a sales professional with sound mechanical / electrical or mechatronics knowledge or a mechanical or an electrical engineer, and or an experienced / qualified fitter or electrician to become part of an established industry leader, offering a rewarding opportunity.
- Preferably have completed a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with experience in bulk materials handling systems.
- Alternatively have a trade qualification or at least a 5-year trade background with the ability to communicate with engineers, and have had past experience with working on or maintaining bulk materials handling systems.
- Or have a minimum of 5 years industrial sales experience.
- Will be enthusiastic, strategic & demonstrate the ability to work autonomously.
- Will be willing to work in a close team and be supportive to others within the business.
- Will be open to traveling interstate and to country locations to meet with customers, and evaluate systems with the intent of providing problem solving solutions on a regular basis
- Ideally you will have experience in industrial sales to the bulk materials handling, engineering, grain, mining and or manufacturing sectors.
The Rewards:
On offer for this role of Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager is a very attractive base salary that is negotiable based on experience + super + FMCV + laptop / phone, with all business and travel expenses paid.
Product training will be provided to the successful candidate, but we strongly encourage only persons who are suitably qualified and or experienced in the field of bulk materials handling systems to apply.
