About the role

Battery Mart is looking for a Retail Sales Coordinator in Geraldton. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and coordinating the sales activities within our busy retail store. Reporting directly to the Branch manager you will play a vital part in achieving our sales goals and ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to)

Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to both walk-in and phone customers

Sourcing parts from other suppliers

Testing and installing batteries in a wide variety of automotive equipment

Assisting retail and account customers with product selection and placing orders

Be involved with retail initiatives and promotions.

Processing sales transactions and handling cash and card payments

Coordinate battery deliveries across Western Australia

Target new accounts

On-site battery fitting, jump starting and deliveries in the Geraldton area as required

Maintaining stock levels and ensuring products are displayed neatly and attractively

Coordinating the work of the sales team to maximise efficiency and productivity

Contributing to the overall success of the retail store

Ability to work a Saturday morning roster 8:30 - 12 noon. ( Paid extra)

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role

C class manual drivers license essential

Initiative

Clean, tidy and punctual

Mechanical aptitude

Be physically fit and able to install large batteries into a wide range of vehicles and machines.

MR truck license and Forklift ticket highly regarded

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent numeracy and cash handling abilities

Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure

Enthusiasm, dedication and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service

Good level of computer literacy
