About JCTS
Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture between the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). JCTS facilitates shared GP training activities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health initiatives, cultural education, mentorship, and registrar housing in remote communities.
About the role
This newly created role reports to the Operations Manager, supporting the development and execution of HR initiatives aligned with JCTS’s goals. Key responsibilities include workforce planning, recruitment, handling HR inquiries, performance management, individual and team development, and enhancing workplace culture.
As our HR Specialist, you'll also:
- develop and implement HR strategies aligned with JCTS’s goals, focusing on performance management, talent retention, and reward frameworks.
- enhance workforce capability through leadership development, training programs, and a capability framework to foster continuous improvement.
- lead culture and engagement initiatives, including surveys, action plans, and diversity efforts to strengthen employee engagement and organisational culture.
- provide operational HR support on employee relations, compliance, recruitment, policy development, HR analytics, and HR project leadership.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience managing complex employee and industrial relations issues, with a focus on cultural safety and Indigenous communities.
- Expertise in developing HR strategies, policies, frameworks, and capability-building initiatives, including leadership development and recruitment processes.
- Familiarity with performance management, organisational culture, and diversity & inclusion programs, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Tertiary qualification in HR or related fields, with membership in professional organisations (desirable), and knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., chris21).
