About the Position

The Rostering Lead will oversee the general rostering needs for NoosaCare, across both locations in Tewantin and Cooroy. This role will ensure that NoosaCare staff are utilised efficiently to provide high quality support outcomes for our residents. The Rostering Lead will have a practical on the floor component to ensure that all areas of NoosaCare are supported in the implementation of their rostering needs. The Roster Lead will be supported by team of Rostering Coordinators, working together in a highly collaborative manner. The Rostering Lead will use initiative and negotiation skills to solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In addition, this role requires a diverse range of skills and abilities including:

Demonstrated ability to use a range of electronic systems including Microsoft Office Suite.

Management of a detailed, fortnightly roster of 400+ staff, across multiple areas of the organisation.

Provide practical support to staff and leaders by maintaining a daily organisational walk through to discuss any arising and presenting rostering needs.

Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise and complete work within established deadlines, using a proactive approach to problem solving.

Ability to conduct and support difficult conversations in the workplace, and support leaders in the resolution of minor staff under performance issues.

Highly developed communication skills with the ability to undertake negotiation and mediation, as well as maintain a strong attention to detail and take pride in the quality of work produced.

Building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Work collaboratively with the People Learning and Culture Supervisor and Advisor in relation to recruitment, onboarding and maintaining compliance with Fair Work, government and facility requirements, including compliance with legislation and policy and procedure.

About You

This role requires enthusiasm, positivity and agile thinking, while ensuring accordance to operational and governing requirements. You will have:

Assertive, positive, and energetic attitude.

Ability to negotiate, mediate and mitigate to resolve and avoid any rostering issues.

Previous experience in the coordination of staff rosters.

Previous experience in the aged, community or health care industry.

Qualifications and/or experience in business administration.

Previous experience in supervising and leading teams.

Strong customer service skills as well as strong phone and face-to-face communication skills.

Qualifications and certifications:

Driver’s license

Please note a clear criminal history check is required to be successful in this role and renewed every 3 years.

Hold a food safety supervisor certification (or be willing to obtain)

Right to work in Australia with no restrictions
