Nightlife is a consumer driven service that aims to create flexible supports for people with a disability living in their own homes. We seek to make an everyday life possible for people with disability, by supporting their independence and participation in individually tailored and community inclusive lifestyles. We operate 7 days and nights a week/365 days a year.
Role Responsibilities
This role works in collaboration with a broader team that manages centralized rostering, staff support, participant liaison and support. The Scheduling Assistant is responsible for supporting the rostering and scheduling of our frontline workforce who deliver 24/7 services to people with a disability in the community.
This role will also support the Rostering Lead in the development and continuous improvement of rostering practices. The Scheduling Assistant is responsible for advising on the overall deployment of staff resources to meet peoples needs and supports the effectiveness and efficiency of the service delivery team in line with industrial and legislative requirements.
Support administration and management of all staff rosters
Work collaboratively with our fantastic Area Coordinators to meet service delivery demands.
Ensure that scheduling is consistent with organizational, industrial, and legislative requirements.
Effectively coordinate both planned and unplanned leave and manage any capacity gaps in staffing resources.
Liaise with Disability Support Workers regarding changes and updates to the roster
Schedule shadow shifts and training to ensure we deliver the best everyday
Liaise with Participants and Families regarding changes and updates to the roster
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum of 1.5 years’ experience in high-volume rostering and scheduling
Experience with NDIS or packaged care scheduling and billing programs desired
Demonstrated experience of scheduling in line with SCHADS or similar awards.
Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
High level organisational skills with ability to juggle competing demands and meet firm deadlines.
Competency with NDIS compliant software packages (Ezyplan), Word, Excel, and the ability to learn new software.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail
history of working with people with a strength-based approach.
Essential Requirements:
NDIS Workers Screening Check clearance required prior to commencement.
