What you will be doing:

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be instrumental in growing market share, further strengthening our business and team, and building a robust pipeline of future opportunities. As General Manager, you will provide strategic direction and operational oversight, ensuring the continued success and sustainable growth of Hallweld Safety.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Strategy Development & Execution: Lead the development, communication, and execution of the company's strategic plan, aligning with ambitious growth targets and market opportunities.

Team Leadership & Talent Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop the existing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Identify and build the necessary talent for future growth.

Sales & Business Growth: Drive and deliver significant sales growth by cultivating and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with key clients, identifying new market segments, and expanding our service offerings.

Operational Excellence & Efficiency: Ensure the business operates with optimal efficiency, implementing robust commercial business management practices and maintaining a focus on operational rigor.

Financial Management & Performance: Oversee financial performance, manage budgets effectively, and ensure the achievement of key financial targets.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.

What you will need:

Significant and demonstrable knowledge of the height safety industry, acquired through direct experience or within closely related sectors such as HVAC, Façade Access, Fire Services, Building Control, Telco Infrastructure, Lift Access, or Hard FM/Building Asset Maintenance and Construction.

A proven track record of successfully identifying, entering, and growing new markets, sectors, or industries, consistently delivering tangible sales results.

Experience leading and achieving success in environments that involve complex technical and engineered solutions, with the ability to understand, articulate, and sell their value.

Established network and strong connections within the South Australian property management, facilities management, construction sectors, and technical contracting organisations.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, influence, and build high-performing teams.

Strong commercial acumen, financial literacy, and experience in managing budgets and driving profitability.
