The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show is our premier annual event, celebrating the Sunshine Coast’s rich farming heritage, vibrant community spirit, and innovation. Since 1900, we have been a platform for visitors, volunteers, exhibitors & businesses to showcase local agriculture, produce, arts and entertainment. About The Role

Reporting to the Management Committee, the General Manager will oversee the event's strategic direction & financial sustainability, while ensuring streamlined and effective operations.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

collaborating with the Management Committee to establish a clear strategic direction for sustainable growth

securing grants/sponsorships/funding to support the Show and its stakeholders

advocating for the Show across government levels & building strong community/industry partnerships

managing a team and fostering a positive workplace culture that encourages professional development

supporting volunteer recruitment/retention

promoting the Show in media and other events.

What we're looking for

Full Australian working rights essential

Min. 3 years leadership experience or similar (not-for-profit or community-focused organisations preferable)

Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated history of securing funding and sponsorships

Proven expertise in governance, compliance & stakeholder management

Ability to create/execute strategic plans while balancing diverse business needs.

Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
