WESNET is seeking a Project Officer (28-35 hours per week by negotiation) to fill a key role in our Safety Net Australia team.
In this role you will provide administration and support to the Safety Net Australia team particularly around supporting the Safe Connections program which provides smartphones and technology safety training to a network of frontline domestic and family violence services across Australia. You will be part of a small and dynamic team in our Bendigo headquarters along with other team members, some of whom work remotely.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative and organisational skills and be able to work as our telephone reception as well as an integral part of a team. As we work with agencies supporting, as well as survivors experiencing domestic and family violence, a high degree of judgement, confidentiality and resilience will be necessary attributes. The work is interesting and varied but will require skills to be able to manage multiple tasks, time and ability to meet deadlines.
WESNET is Australia’s peak women’s organisation working to eliminate domestic and family violence. WESNET aims to:
Provide support for women victim-survivors and their children,
Strengthen and build the women’s family and domestic violence sector,
Strengthen WESNET’s position as the national leader of member services to the sector, and
Use our specialist knowledge to achieve our purpose and maximise our capacity to eliminate family and domestic violence and other forms of gender- based violence.
