We’re currently recruiting for a Project Support Officer (Finance) to join our Queensland State Government client in Buderim. This is a long-term opportunity supporting the financial administration of critical infrastructure projects across the region.

What you’ll be doing:
Working within a collaborative and supportive finance team, you'll assist Project Managers with the financial tracking and reporting of approximately 100 active projects. You’ll be part of a broader team overseeing around 500 projects at various stages in the lifecycle.

This is not an accounting role, but you’ll need to bring strong financial administration skills, experience in Accounts Payable is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities:

• Governance checks and submission of financial approvals
• Maintain tracking registers (Excel, SharePoint)
• Update project and contract information in Unifier
• Process payments and purchase requisitions
• Prepare general journals and financial documentation
• Administer QLeave and grant-related transactions
• Assist with end-of-month and general ledger reconciliations
• Provide financial support and advice to Project Managers

About you:

• Background in financial or project administration
• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable processes
• Proficient in Excel and confident working across systems such as SAP, SharePoint or similar
• Strong attention to detail and a team-first approach

Contract details:

• Initial term: 2 June 2025 – 1 June 2026
• Extensions: 2 x 12-month options (subject to business requirements)
• Full-time hours | Based in Buderim QLD
• AO3 Employment Level
