About the role

Altona Bowling Club is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our organisation. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, implementing strategic initiatives, and driving the financial and commercial success of the club. Based in Altona, Victoria.

What you'll be doing

Manage and oversee all aspects of the club's operations, including administration, finance, events, and facilities management

Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the club's performance and expand its reach within the local community

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of dedicated staff and volunteers

Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including members, suppliers, and local government

Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities to drive revenue growth

Manage the club's budget and financial performance, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organisation

Overseeing the performance of 37 Gaming Machines

What we're looking for

Significant experience in a senior management role within the hospitality or tourism industry

Proven track record of leading successful strategic initiatives and driving operational excellence

Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

Strong financial acumen and the ability to make data-driven decisions

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders

Dedication to providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the member experience
