Position Overview:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, scheduling crews and equipment, managing job logistics, and ensuring all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role is key to maintaining service quality, team productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Crew & Job Management:

o Schedule and dispatch crews for residential and commercial jobs, using the Jobber scheduling system

o Supervise on-site operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

o Coordinate equipment and material needs for each job.

· Project Coordination:

o Review and plan daily and weekly job schedules, using the Jobber scheduling system.

o Work with crews to ensure job scope, timing, and customer expectations are met.

o Manage clear and consistent client communication regarding job timelines and progress, working closely with the administration team.

· Safety & Compliance:

o Enforce safety procedures and ensure all operations comply with Australian Standards and local regulations.

o Conduct regular safety meetings and job site inspections.

· Team Leadership:

o Lead and mentor field staff.

o Monitor performance and provide coaching and feedback.

o Foster a team-oriented, accountable culture.

· Inventory & Equipment:

o Oversee maintenance and readiness of trucks, tools, and heavy equipment.

o Manage inventory and coordinate repairs or replacements.

· Administrative:

o Maintain accurate records of job progress, crew hours, and material usage, with support from administration staff.

o Support budgeting, invoicing, and cost-control efforts.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in operations, logistics, or crew management (tree service, landscaping, or construction industry preferred but not essential).

· Strong leadership and organizational skills.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Working knowledge of tree service techniques and equipment, or the ability to learn.

· Familiarity with safety standards and best practices.

· Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
