About Us
A Growing Understanding is a respected private speech pathology service with a reputation for high-quality, evidence-based care. We’re proud to be recognised for both clinical excellence and the unique warmth of our team culture- winners of the Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Award in 2023. We deliver centre-based services to children and families across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, guided by a mission to help every child and family grow their best life. As a certified NDIS provider, we’re committed to inclusive, responsive, and family-centred care. When you join us, you become part of a collaborative team that values growth- for our clients, our community, and each other.
The Role

Collaborate with the Clinical Director and CEO team to monitor KPIs and clinic flow
Contribute to internal projects- policy development, systems improvement, and communication
Participate in business planning, risk management, and compliance activities (NDIS included)
Demonstrate people-first leadership that aligns with our values and team culture
Our clinics are open 7:30am–7:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:30am–1:30pm on Fridays—we don’t work Friday afternoons!
What We Offer:
A collaborative team culture that’s warm, supportive, and values-driven
Flexibility in working hours and structure (part-time and full-time options available)
Attractive, above-award salary with negotiable incentives
Structured onboarding and support
A family-friendly workplace that genuinely supports work-life balance
About You
You’re organised, people-focused, and proactive. You bring a calm and capable presence to your work and love helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. You're energised by leadership that blends structure with kindness.
We’re looking for someone with:
Experience in practice or clinic management, operations, or health admin leadership
Strong team leadership skills and a collaborative, inclusive style
Solid understanding of systems, scheduling, and process improvement
High-level administrative skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with the NDIS (or a willingness to learn)
Confidence using Microsoft Office and clinic software (we use Splose)
Bonus but not required: qualifications in health administration, business, or practice management
