ABOUT THE POSITION
As Coordinator - Program Management Office, you’ll not only oversee a $90M+ capital works program but also ensure the smooth running of Council’s Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, with a focus on OneCouncil. From system input and reporting to enhancing governance processes, your expertise will be critical in driving accountability and performance across every project phase - from planning through to handover.
DUTIES
- Providing strategic oversight of the $90M+ capital works and delivery program, including transport, open spaces, buildings, waterways, and catchments.
- Managing the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to handover, ensuring projects meet governance, budget, and delivery expectations.
- Leading the use and optimisation of the OneCouncil platform, ensuring high-quality data input, system reporting, and performance tracking.
- Making system enhancements and embedding strong project governance processes to ensure full compliance and transparency.
- Recommending and implementing improvements to project governance systems, aligning them with best practices.
- Developing reporting tools and dashboards to give senior leadership a clear view of project progress and strategic alignment.
- Driving collaboration between project teams and internal/external stakeholders.
- Leading a high-performing team, fostering innovation, safety, accountability, and continuous development.
About You
You're a natural organiser and confident leader with a strong technical foundation and the ability to see both the detail and the big picture. You know how to get projects moving, how to manage people and systems, and how to make capital programs run like clockwork.
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction, commerce, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated leadership experience in infrastructure project or program management, ideally in a government setting
- Hands-on experience with Project Lifecycle Management systems, with a strong preference for experience using enterprise tools like OneCouncil
- A proven track record in project governance, system optimisation, and capital works reporting
- Expertise in government procurement and change management
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset - able to build strong relationships at all levels
- A passion for driving performance, safety, and professional growth in your team
