We are currently seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to join the team at Jabiru Golf Club, a busy venue located in the heart of the stunning Kakadu National Park. This live-in role offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a laid-back lifestyle, save money, and explore the World Heritage-listed park during your days off. Whether it’s fishing, golf, boating, or sightseeing, you’ll find ample opportunities to immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the local surroundings.

As the Bar Supervisor, you will play an integral role in the daily operations of the venue. This hands-on position will require you to be involved in all aspects of venue management, including the bar, Keno, and bottle shop, ensuring a seamless operation and exceptional customer service. This would be a great opportunity for an up and coming hospitality superstar to learn the ropes as club manager, as you will be required to occasionally act as licensee.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

Current RSA certification (required in Northern Territory, valid for three years)

Strong background in hospitality, particularly in a busy venue environment

Previous experience working in a public bar is essential

Experience in a similar venue is highly desirable

Ability to obtain a National Police clearance

Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems

Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) certificate (must be completed within three months of employment)

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the management team in all aspects of venue operations, including bars, Keno, and the bottle shop

Oversee the counting and balancing of tills and the safe

Ensure compliance with liquor licensing and gaming regulations

Train and supervise staff, fostering a positive team environment

Work a rotating roster (including weekend work) with the Club Manager for open and close of venue

Maintain a safe and compliant work environment

Undertake other duties as required by the management team and committee
