About us
Maritime Constructions is a marine contractor, uniquely capable of self-performing the full spectrum of specialised engineering disciplines to deliver complex near-shore marine infrastructure projects from design and construction through to commissioning. Projects include jetties, wharves, bulk loading facilities, dredging, reclamation, navigation aids, marinas, underwater pipelines.
About the Role
Supporting the HR team and the wider business unit, the HR Coordinator is responsible for providing HR and business administration, as well as the full suite of HR functions, supporting recruitment and onboarding, talent management, remuneration and rewards, training and inductions, and industrial and employee relations. With new company projects coming online soon, the position will be largely focused on recruitment and training initially.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees
Assist in tracking and allocating vehicles and fuel cards
Working with the Human Resources Advisor, assist the HR function, including supporting employee relations, performance review and management, and organisational culture
2. Assist the HR function
Support the HR Advisor with tasks relating to employee relations, performance review and management and organisational culture
Assist with HR projects and the implementation of the new HRIS (ELMO) software
Assist the Mobilisation Coordinator with ad hoc tasks (eg. travel/mobilisations)
3. Compliance & Training
Identify training gaps within the workforce and schedule necessary training sessions
Maintain the training matrix to monitor employee qualifications
5. General Office Administration
Oversee the upkeep of the Henderson office and workshop, managing supplies, maintenance and cleaning contractors
Organise company events and team-building activities to promote employee engagement and morale
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, handling front desk duties
About you
Tertiary qualification in HR/Administration (or working towards)
HR, Recruitment &/or administration experience
Understanding of the NES, Fair work and award-based requirements
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Adaptability and a willingness to learn new processes and technologies
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with a diverse workforce

Salary $80,000 + superannuation
