We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Accountant to join our rapidly expanding team at Focuslift Forklifts Pty Ltd, a leading wholesaler of forklifts, parts, and accessories. This role is crucial to maintaining our financial health and ensuring that our business remains in a strong financial position as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and compliant records of all financial transactions, particularly those related to the wholesale of forklifts, parts, and accessories.

Prepare and monitor operational budgets, analyse expenditure variances, and provide financial insights to guide cost management.

Produce timely and comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management evaluation and strategic decision-making.

Ensure compliance with all statutory financial obligations, including BAS, GST, and other taxation requirements, coordinating with external advisors where necessary.

Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, measure performance, and develop cost-efficiency strategies.

Monitor and forecast cash flow related to equipment sales and operations, providing recommendations to ensure financial stability and risk mitigation.

Conduct regular reviews and internal audits of accounting systems and controls to uphold financial integrity and compliance.

Design and implement improvements to financial procedures and reporting systems to enhance transparency and operational efficiency.

Utilise historical and current sales data to model and forecast financial outcomes, supporting long-term planning and investment assessments.

Prepare clear and insightful financial reports for stakeholders, highlighting performance metrics, potential risks, and opportunities for business growth.

Requirements:

Qualifications: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in a commercial business environment.

Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and proven proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial analysis, reporting, and data interpretation.

Ability to identify trends, assess risk, and provide actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Demonstrated experience handling financial transactions and reporting in a business environment that involves international suppliers, customers, or stakeholders.

Understanding of foreign currency transactions, international payment processes, and import/export cost structures is highly regarded.

Proven ability to work within varying financial regulatory frameworks and adapt to different accounting standards or compliance requirements across jurisdictions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
