HR Business Partner (Temporary, Part-Time)

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client’s team in Kyabram on a temporary, part-time basis for up to six months.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and capable HR professional to bring their generalist expertise to a meaningful and dynamic workplace. You’ll work closely with leaders and employees on-site, offering trusted advice, supporting recruitment and employee relations, and helping to build a positive and respectful culture.

The Role
Location: Kyabram
Tenure: Temporary – up to 6 months
Hours: Part-time, 0.4 FTE (15.2 hours/week – flexible across the week)
Salary: $50.69 per hour (Band 5)
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver generalist HR support across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and policy advice
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on people-related matters including conflict resolution, investigations, and change initiatives
• Support organisational change, culture-building and workforce planning
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and EBAs
• Coordinate employment contracts, payroll queries, and maintain accurate employee records
• Contribute to HR reporting and support the rollout of HR systems and projects

About You
You’re a proactive HR generalist who thrives in dynamic environments and values strong relationships. You’re adaptable, collaborative, and committed to delivering thoughtful, compliant HR support that drives positive outcomes.
You’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field
• Demonstrated generalist HR experience
• Sound understanding of employment legislation, awards, and EBAs
• Strong interpersonal and coaching skills
• Experience working across both operational and corporate teams
• High attention to detail and confidence using HR systems
• A current driver’s license
• Availability to work on-site in Kyabram
