A & A Di Medio & Son (Aust) Pty Ltd is an established market leading concrete agitator manufacturing company in Braeside, Victoria. We manufacture, service and maintain concrete agitators for large Australian companies and for local/interstate service providers. We currently have opportunity for a Workshop Manager at our SA Branch who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and motivated to expand and continue their career in manufacturing. This position is available for an immediate start.

Job Overview:

The Workshop Manager will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations ensuring productivity, quality controls, safety compliance and liaise with directors and other staff member's in Victoria. Applicant must have hands-on approach with managerial experience as they will be required to manage and work on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a Team: Supervising and coordinating welder, fitters and other staff. Delegating staff activities and monitoring their performance and tracking hours worked for payroll. Also ensuring staff members are abiding be AADS SA OHS policies and procedures.

Overseeing Workshop Operations: Communicating with AADS SA clients to provide support via phone or in person, ensuring repairs and maintenance is being done up to AADS standards, administrative tasks such as creating sales/repair orders, organising payments and completing terms of trade documentation.

Liaising with AADS Victoria's directors/staff members: This includes informing staff members and directors about production matters.

Welding & Fitting: You'll also be required to weld/ fit parts.

Working Hours:

This is a full time position Monday to Friday with overtime as required to meet production deadlines.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of hands on welding/fitting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role,

Strong leadership and team management skills,

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Basic computer skills ( Word, Excel, Outlook, Reckon etc)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Forklift license desirable but not required.
