With substantial financial backing and a pipeline of projects ready and waiting my client is seeking a permanent local Fire Systems Wet & Dry Designer for the fire subcontracting market in Sydney.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Junior to Mid level experienced Electrical and Sprinkler Fire Systems, Designer with Revit, AutoCAD and Hyena Calcs experience and a background dealing with contractors in the industrial and commercial sector. This is an excellent opportunity within a growing company that will give the successful candidate plenty of room to move and advance through this business.

Your main responsibilities in this position will be:-

Provide technical competence in the drafting and design of Fire Protection Services in Automatic Sprinkler System, Fire Hydrant Systems, Fire Hose Reel, Fire Detection / Emergency Warning Systems, Portable Fire Extinguishers / Fire Blankets, Gas Suppression / Water Mist Systems) for complex wawrehousing projects.

Must have Autocad and Hyena Calcs for Pipe

Strong Technical knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and Relevant Australian Standards.

Familiar with local fire system certification processes.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Positive, can-do attitude

Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation

Participate in tender process i.e. design, submission and review

Design risk mitigation plan

Report to Construction Manager on any situations which may affect the deesigns on projects.

Work closely with the Director and Project Manager
